WINE made by the Cistercian monks of the Monastery of Cardeña year 2010. The Cistercian monks arrived in the 12th century to the Iberian Peninsula, populated their valleys of celebrated Monasteries, introducing the science and art of viticulture. It is recorded that the Monks of Cardeña owned their vineyards on the banks of the Ebro and Duero rivers. Today the Monks no longer own or cultivate the extensive vineyards of yesteryear, but in the same cellar, we continue to work in peace, prayer and silence the wines we select in the old possessions. With the same criteria as always. Thus, the Monastery of Cardeña was and continues to be historical, cultural, human and spiritual.
